FAQ

What is millionpixels.space?

millionpixels.space is a fun way to discover public X profiles through a shared one million pixel wall. Every coloured block is a tiny piece of open digital space and links to a public X profile.

How much does it cost?

Pixels cost $1 each. One form is for one pixel and one public X profile. If you want 10 pixels, you submit the form 10 times and make 10 separate payments.

What do I get?

You get one pixel space on the wall. Your pixel is shown in your chosen hex colour and links to one public X profile.

Can I buy multiple pixels for the same X handle?

No. The buy form is for one pixel and one X profile at a time. You cannot place the same handle repeatedly across the wall as spam. Extra pixels need separate form submissions and separate payments.

Can I submit someone else's X profile?

Only if you are authorised to promote that profile. You may submit your own profile, your business profile, a client profile, or another profile you have permission to promote. Unauthorised, misleading or impersonating requests may be refused or removed.

Can I choose the colour?

Yes. You provide a hex colour code, such as #000000, #FF0000 or #1D9BF0.

Can I link to something other than X?

No. This wall is specifically for public X profiles.

Can I choose the exact position?

Yes. You can choose the X position, Y position, width and height of your block. The selected block is only accepted if it is still available and does not overlap an existing placement.

Can I change my colour or profile link later?

No. Once your pixels are approved, paid for and published, they are final. Please make sure the colour and profile link are correct before submitting.

How can I pay?

Once your request has been checked and accepted, we will send you a secure payment link. Payments are handled through Monzo.

How long does it take to go live?

Once payment has been received and the public X profile and colour have been checked, your pixels can usually go live within a few minutes. It is a simple process and should not take long.

Will my pixels stay online forever?

Our intention is to keep the website online permanently. We have no intention of closing the website, and paid pixels are intended to remain online for the life of the site.

What happens when the wall is full? Will it be reset?

No. When the wall is full, it is full. The wall will not be reset, cleared or restarted to create new space.

Is this website affiliated with X?

No. This is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or connected to X Corp.

Can any public X profile be linked?

In general, yes. We do not actively monitor every linked profile. However, we reserve the right to refuse or remove pixels if a profile is clearly spam, a scam, impersonation, abusive, illegal, harmful, or otherwise unsuitable. If pixels are removed for this reason, no refund will be issued.

Are you responsible for what appears on linked X profiles?

No. Pixels on millionpixels.space link to external public X profiles. We do not own, control, endorse or take responsibility for what is posted on those X profiles. Visitors click external profiles at their own discretion.

Does millionpixels.space support charities?

millionpixels.space is not a charity. From time to time, GERARD MULDER LTD may choose to support small charities, local causes or community projects from project profits. These donations are voluntary, may vary in amount and timing, and are not linked to any fixed percentage of pixel sales. Donation updates may be published on the Giving Back page.

Can I report a pixel or linked profile?

Yes. If a pixel links to something that appears clearly illegal, harmful, abusive, exploitative, a scam, impersonation, or completely unsuitable, please use the contact form and include the pixel location or X profile link. Serious reports, including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), threats, terrorist content or other illegal material, may lead to removal of the pixels without refund. You should also report illegal content directly to X and, where appropriate, to the relevant authorities.
